I had to visit Hakim Optical in St. Laurent Shopping Centre, Ottawa for our daughter’s glasses. Hakim Optical is having a promotion for kid’s glasses. You can get two pairs of glasses for $98 without anti reflection coating. Additional charges for anti reflection coatings for each pair are $35.
The service was good and we are getting 2 pairs of glasses for the cost of one. The good thing is the glasses have virtually unbreakable lenses which are good for kids.
The promotional offer is valid till August 30, 2009 and no other discount can be combined with this offer. You can check Hakim Optical website for further details.
UPDATE: The time to get the glasses is 7 to 10 working days (excluding weekends though the stores are open on weekend). It is safe to say that you won’t get the glasses before 10 working days.
