January 31, 2010 is the deadline to make your purchases for the Canada Home Renovation Tax Credit (HRTC). The HRTC will allow you to claim a tax credit of up to $1350, depending on how much you spent on home renovations. Your spending starting from $1,000 and up to $10,000 are eligible for the 15% rebate.
However, please make sure that you keep your receipts safe for all the eligible purchases and labor expanses to receive the credit. If you don’t have receipts, you will not be able to claim the credit.
