Twitter is for connecting with others and these others could be potential employers for job hunters as well. There are a number of services based on Twitter, which let you find out jobs in your area. In order to used these services, you will need to get a FREE account at Twitter.
TwitterJobSearch:

With TwitterJobSearch, you’ll be able to find tweets about jobs posted on Twitter. There is an option to see the map of the locations for which the jobs have been posted.
TwitterTroll:
TwitterTroll is a really useful real-time Twitter search engine. It is not specifically for job listings but still a usefull site to search for jobs.
Twitter Job Finder:
Twitter Job Finder is a search engine for jobs on Twitter. You can search for fresh jobs on Twitter from the last 7 days on Twitter Job Finder.
Tweet Scan:
This service lets you perform searches and register for email alerts for a key phrase. Whenever there is a tweet containing your keyword found, you will be alerted by email. You can deactivate the service whenever you like.
TwitterJobCast:
TwitterJobCasts.com is another service which you can use to find who is hiring in your local area. You can search using keyword or location. However, when you are using location search, for example for jobs in Ottawa, I found that it had many listings which had the word hiring without any actual job opportunity. You many find it useful in your job hunting as the system is more refined.
TwitHire:
If you are in IT field, then TwitHire.com may help you find the job. It lists all the jobs posted by creating a tweet on twitter mostly for web developpers or programmers. Some other office jobs in the field are also posted here.
TweepJob
Tweepjob.com is a free service that uses #hashtags to help track messages on Twitter. If you are looking for a job or freelance gig then just send a twit about what you’re looking for and add the #tweepseek hashtag in your tweet. Employees looking to fill a position can use the hashtag #tweephunt. TweepJob tracks tweets based on these hashtags to let you know what others are looking for. At the time of writing this post, I didn’t see any jobs listed on the site. It could be not many people are using these hastags for job postings.
